i am using mtnl garuda fixed landline for 3-4months now.

the billing cycle is very erratic.
i was told that you could pay the bill by cash at the post offices.
citing the convenience i did that(about one and a half month back) and i regret that so much now.
result is that payment is still not reflected in my account . the amount was 2893/-.
thank god i have preserved the receipt given by the post office.
otherwise you people would have taken me for a ride.
I have even made the payment for the bill after that.
you people instead of checking your accounts, have the audacity to send me reminders by sms and automated calls to pay the bill.
you call at my residence and threaten that the phone will be disconnected.
then you actually go ahead and disconnect it.(yesterday morning- 9th november , 2006)
Today morning i go to your mulund exchange to file the complaint for activating the phone at eight thirty.
there is noone at eight thirty except for a lady who takes my request.
your server is down(is it ever in working condition?) so she cannot see my account.
she sees all the receipts of the payment made , and assures me that she will handle the complaint, give me a phone call by 10.30
she take down all my details, my cell number - 93222 72946 . i was actually impressed by her response.
alas , it was too good to be true.
its 5pm now , and still no response.
once a government department , always a government department.
so much for claiiming customer service( i was a fool to even expect it).
first service the existing customers and then look for new ones.
on a personal level,
i will make sure that i sever all connections with mtnl and all partners,
you have got a "non-customer for life"
